mix no match

Looking back I realize that I did not match AT ALL – I had to rush out of the house to head to a few meetings in the city and then the Loft event, and it had been ridiculously hot out. I would wear some cut-off denim and a simple white tank every single day if it weren’t so office-inappropriate. BUT to make sure that I didn’t look like a TOTAL slob I threw on my not-too-high Chloe sandals, a thrifted sheer coverup in a bright bold hue, and added a funky print with this leather satchel from Akira Chicago.

I love how intricate a satchel can be, but it still gives off a classic vibe. Here is a really cute similar one I found on Asos.com.

Loving the weather here in NYC, but it’s supposed to be a rainy rainy weekend. I’m thinking about doing a post on what to wear in the rain. I had the hardest time finding something to wear for my friend’s birthday dinner because I didn’t have an umbrella :(

It was super hot outside, but it was pouring like the end of the world was near. No one wants to be sweaty, and carrying a coat around is not the most convenient accessory. Hopefully we won’t be having any monsoons next week. I am starting to develop post partum when I can’t wear shorts for too long. Blame me being a Leo/summer baby :P

Have an amazing weekend, lovelies!
